Psittacus is a supplement for grain birds and is ideal for correcting deficiencies of vitamins, minerals and trace elements in the seed mixture. This powdered product is designed to be combined with a moist mixture of boiled sprouts and seeds, fruits and vegetables. The daily dose should be 4% of the dry weight of the seed offered. It is important that the supplement sticks to the food so it should be sprinkled on wet ingredients only, such as sprouts, or on A complete diet if it contains wet ingredients, and a wet mix enriched with this product should not be available to birds for more than 8 hours, or less time at elevated ambient temperatures. Bacterial and fungal growth will occur unavoidably and can endanger the health of birds if left in place for too long.
